Meridian Massage

Rising to a new level of health
Nowadays people tend to fix their eyes on a “disease”, rather than the symptoms. Actually this is less serious for a lot of people who are generally healthy, but experience occasional symptoms for a variety of conditions: headache, neck and shoulder back pain, deep breathing, aching jaw, constipation, shadows around the eyes, flabbiness of the skin due to loose muscle tone, blocked skin pores, acne, prematurely senility, abnormal mood swings, immune suppression, dysmenorrhea (menstruation cramps), sexual impotence, insomnia, and so on. Aren’t these caused by some disease?

If we let uncomfortable symptoms progress untreated then we will likely keel over! As indicators of diseases, these symptoms fall between good health and a sub-par health. As we feel more and more uncomfortable, with a troubling reminder at the waist, we go to a hospital for treatment for a diagnosis of our symptoms and how to relieve them. These bodily symptoms do not appear out of thin air. They invade our body and spirit.

Meridian health stimulates the main and collateral channels of moral integrity, removes toxins, smooth’s the body’s qi (pronounced chee) life force and blood flow, and eliminates symptoms; all so as to regulate the body with the purpose of preventing disease.

The body’s life force and blood circulation follow meridians, coming into contact with key internal organs and other various parts of the body. Understanding the function of these meridians or control system consisting of main and collateral channels, is the foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) along with body acupuncture and massage, and is an important part of TCM. Meridian theory is one of the fundamentals of basic Chinese medicine theory, learned from ancient times, and in service up to now. With a medical history of more than three thousand years, it has played an important role in helping to protect human health.
